Swedish Sensibilities 07-27-18 (Live @ The Hideaway Bar)

Swedish Sensibilities – Call me crazy, but: I love a band with a Cello! In my opinion the Cello is the amplifier for the ‘love Department’ (both male and female).

Good crowd/bad crowd: Crowd was good

My review:

  • Songs are great
  • Very catchy
  • Introduce each song (for new AND old fans)
  • They work well as a band
  • Karl needs to sing a little louder though to cut through the noisy crowd

  1. Can’t take you with me (cover- Bahamas)
  2. Taller Still (video I took)
  3. Flume (cover- Bon Iver)
  4. Going too soon
  5. Spår
  6. Jerry’s Song
  7. Not too long ago
  8. Bright eyes

Swedish Sensibilities is an indie folk band based in Sydney. They formed in 2016, and are killing it. The band strives to entertain their audience with folky tunes, which in some parts sounded a little country and in other parts quite Mumford and Sons-ish, which was pretty cool.

Call me crazy, but: I also love a band with a Cello! In my opinion the Cello is the amplifier for the ‘love Department’ (both male and female). Even how and where it is held (and played) in between the legs brings out the passion and soul of songs. Keep up the good work!
