Have Mercy – Good Christian Man
Have Mercy released a new video for Good Christian Man, a track from their upcoming album Make The Best Of It which is coming out this Friday April 21st. When I first was alerted to Good Christian Man, I assumed it would come off as some overly religious christian rock type song but that was before I started to look deeper.
The video takes place in a church which believe or not, I was not actually expecting. However the use of the venue in the video fit really well. I find Good Christian Man to be a highly emotional & motivating song.
I think the video has a really powerful message with people in the church holding up signs that said “get a real job” “you don’t belong” “you’re worthless”. I took that to symbolize that no one thing might be the answer to your happiness. This narrative definitely was echoed with the feel of questioning & symbolic emotions throughout. Based on the comments I read about the video, I am not alone in feeling this way.
I definitely think the song & especially the video for Good Christian Man is worth checking out & sharing with your fellow music lovers as the message can resonate with anyone from any part of the world.
