Carolyn’s Northside Festival 2018 Preview

10 years!!!!! This is the big number being celebrated in Brooklyn as it is once again time for NYC’s best music festival, Northside. As usual a number of Brooklyn venue stalwarts such as Baby’s All Right, Knitting Factory & Pete’s Candy Store will be holding court to some great talent ready to rock our ears, heart & soul!

While one of my favorite experiences of Northside, the McCarren Park shows won’t be happening this year, they have been replaced by a new experience as the band Parquet Courts will headline a festival closing cruise to celebrate the release of their latest album Wide Awake. I have never been on a cruise so it should be an interesting experience.

Overall the 10th anniversary of the Northside Festival will not be short on talent as the lineup features many amazing artists which I am sure will include a future breakout mainstream star who years later we can brag about seeing play before they blew up! Some of the awesome acts this year include Colatura, Dead Stars, The Holy Tunics and many more. I also can’t forget to mention the Block Party on Saturday & Sunday from 11AM to 6PM which is always good.

As is the case every year, it will be difficult to pick which artists to see but one way or another, I get the job done & never regret the amazing experiences I have. So make sure you come out to the 10th anniversary of the Northside Festival to make memories that will last a lifetime!
