Aiden Bradley 07-12-18 (Live @ Moshpit)

Aiden Bradley – new in the ‘big smoke’: Sydney

Gig date: 12th July 2018

Venue: Moshpit, Erskineville, Sydney, Australia

Country of origin: Brisbane, Australia

Member: Aiden

Support or headline: Support for Atlas and the Attic

Good crowd/bad crowd: Crowd was pretty good. They seemed really into it, which was very good to see.

Number of times seen band: 1

Crowd participation: They were definitely in for a treat tonight with Aiden Bradley up first. This was his first ever time being in Sydney, let alone performing in Sydney. Aiden said this while performing, “Both states are very much alike, Sydney just has a bigger bridge!” Who doesn’t love some great banter?

Genre: Indie- Pop

Rating: 6.5/10 guitars

My review:

  • Aiden is an extremely good guitar player
  • His songs are very meaningful, and very catchy
  • As much as you wish you could dance to these songs, it just wouldn’t work. (Give it a try though.) They’re more of your chill out type of song, which is even better.
  • Because Aiden doesn’t like flying in general, and has never toured outside of Brisbane he spent a lot of time on the flight feeling really anxious about how he would go and if he’d remember all the lyrics and when to come in for the loops. So in saying that, his nerves occasionally got the better of him, but did his best and it showed really well. He is such a good performer.
  • He needs to move around a little more, and look at the audience more, other than that, great job man, keep it up!

Set List:

  1. Boat Ramps (Original)
  2. Siege (Original)
  3. Rain (Original)
  4. Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright (Bob Dylan Cover)
  5. Infirmary (Original)
  6. Coffee Shops (Original)

Aiden Bradley is a singer-songwriter who is based in Brisbane, Australia and he has been in and out of bands since he was about 16. He’s been doing solo stuff under his own name for about a year now. Last night was his first ever time performing (and being) in Sydney and you could no doubt tell that he was nervous.

Put all the nerves aside and you are left with an amazing guitar player that is extremely funny and down to earth. He loves having conversations during each song break and loves having a laugh. Get around him and his music because I have a feeling he’ll be back to Sydney soon.
