Wicked City 07-21-18 (Live @ The Lansdowne)

Wicked City – Melbourne’s best-kept (noisiest) secret

Gig date: 21st July 2018

Venue: The Lansdowne, Sydney, Australia

Country of origin: Melbourne, Australia

Members: Patto, Nick and Pat

Support or headline: Support for Zeahorse (Sydney)

Good crowd/bad crowd: Crowd was going mental. They, and I, love this genre of music very much as it is so easy to get into and ‘thrash’ punk style.

Number of times seen band: 1

Crowd participation: Singing, Dancing and jumping around- like kangaroos going out of control. Which was WAY too funny to see.

Genre: Heavy Punk Rock

Rating: 7/10 guitars

My review:

  • Pat (Drummer and seems to be the main vocalist) is absolutely incredible.
  • Nick and Patto were amazing on the guitars, that’s pure talent right there.
  • Such a cool vibe
  • Songs were great

Set List:

  1. Japanese Streets
  2. KPI
  3. In Transit
  4. Bodysurfing
  5. She Burns
  6. Circulating Fire

Wicked City is a band made up of three friends playing music together on the quest for eternal glory and maximum tone. They are slaves to the riff and yet they insist upon melody. They played their first ever gig in 2005 and haven’t stopped ever since. They’ve toured around Australia four times. All I can say is, I am now a fan, so please, keep it up and don’t call it quits soon.
