Stuyedeyed 06-08-17 (Live @ Alphaville)

My 2017 Northside Festival experience began with my first ever visit to the wildly popular Brooklyn venue Alphaville for the AdHoc Showcase to see Stuyedeyed.

Originally I had planned on heading to Brooklyn Bazaar to see my friends Air Waves but I have to admit I am glad I chose to check out Stuyedeyed instead.

I only literally checked them out the day before on Soundcloud & was digging what I heard. I love the fact that the songs I enjoyed most from their Soundcloud were played during the set such as Miscarry On, Cursed, and Funeral.

They opened up the set with an in your face energy filled version of Miscarry On which let you know that the set was going to be intense. This led into a strong version of Cursed.

You just knew the energy & pace was going to pick up once the drummer ditched the shirt & started to chug down some beer & that it did for the second half of their set.

My personal highlight of the set was the last two songs Believer leading into Funeral as they flowed together great & was a perfect way to not only end the set but start my 2017 Northside Festival experience. As much as I would have loved to see my friends, I without question made the right decision in checking out Stuyedeyed who have a huge new fan!
