The New Tarot 08-04-18 (Live @ Bowery Ballroom)
The Bowery Ballroom holds some special memories for me as I have seen many great shows over the last decade there that still feel fresh in my memory as if they happened yesterday. Recently I had the pleasure of experience of adding another show to that list when I got to see The New Tarot headline a wonderful bill.
The New Tarot sister duo of Karen & Monika Walker once again showcased the magical ability to own a crowd while showcasing the different presence that they each bring to the stage. Karen gives off a very chill & controlled presence behind the keyboard while showcasing her smooth & sweet vocals while Monika displays the never ending energy & passion that makes each of their songs stand out.
Their catalog is so deep, some of my favorite songs were not even played but that did not stop I or anyone else from loving the 16 song set that had such awesome highlights including Memory Kills, Mistake To Choose, Tell Me You Like Me and the awesome finale of The Heat. Kudos must also be given to the fantastic dancers who added a nice element to the songs they appeared on as well.
Once again The New Tarot showcased why their live show is something that is not to be missed. So if you ever have the chance to see them live, you absolutely must!
