LITVAR launches pre-save for upcoming album with new single, “REAL LIFE”

Lately I have been feeling very nostalgic especially when it comes to music. I have been knee deep listening to my favorite artists from the 90s (especially The Smashing Pumpkins which long term readers know is my favorite artist of all time). Why do I bring that up you ask? I am excited to share the answer!

I was invited to check out Litvar and their upcoming album Being Here which includes their brand new single “Real Life“. From the opening sequence, I could not help but smile as the song just oozes a nostalgic sound from the 90s but in a fresh not outdated way.

Many different aspects of Real Life can be hailed as the best part of the song whether it is the classic 90’s drum sound with guitar tones built around to fit the flow or the powerful lyrics by Rex Thurstan which explores the balance between longing for life to go exactly as you’ve planned and learning to trust the unpredictable journey that ultimately shapes who you’ll become.

You know when a song especially the lyrics are on point when it has you instantly adapt your thoughts to them matching your life as if you had wrote them yourself. If Rex’s goal was to get you to go deep inside of you, he succeeded 100% & kudos to him for having the talent to do so.

Real Life is going on my regular playlist rotation. After a few listens it definitely is in the running for my song of the year for 2026.
