Troubadour Blue – Flowers In Pulaski
Troubadour Blue Signs With Unlabeled Records as Flagship Artist
New Single “Flowers in Pulaski,” Featuring The SteelDrivers, Comes
Out October 13th On Top of Direct Support Dates with Wynonna Judd
Nashville-based band Troubadour Blue has signed with Unlabeled as the label’s flagship artist. To mark the signing, the band will release “Flowers in Pulaski,” with GRAMMY Award-winning bluegrass band The SteelDrivers, on October 13. “Flowers in Pulaski” is the lead single from Tennessee Gothic, Troubadour Blue’s second full length album, and first on Unlabeled Records.
Set in a Tennessee flower shop with a dark secret, “Flowers in Pulaski” unfolds as a fictionalized small-town family story, pairing Troubadour Blue’s three-part harmonies with bluegrass, country and roots-rock instrumentation. The band’s Daniel Kim Ethridge and Brenna Wheeler trade vocals, with The SteelDrivers contributing instrumentation and vocals.
“’Flowers In Pulaski‘ is one of my favorite songs on the record,” says Ethridge. “It is nearly nonfiction and features one of our favorite bands of all time, The SteelDrivers. We are so excited to release our lead single alongside some of our oldest friends and biggest mentors. It’s the pinnacle of what we believe is Tennessee Gothic.”
Wheeler adds, “Troubadour Blue was born from a desire to combine musicianship, songwriting, and harmony with the simple joy of making music alongside people you love being around. Knowing the team at Unlabeled Records shares that vision makes us incredibly excited for the next chapter of Troubadour Blue. We are thrilled to collaborate with such like-minded music lovers and bring our collective strengths to the music we’ve worked so hard to create over the past few years.”
“Troubadour Blue is exactly why we built Unlabeled Records. Daniel, Brenna, and the band write with the kind of honesty that stops a room, and they play with the energy that fills it,” says Tanner Brandell, Co Founder, Unlabeled Records. “Signing them as our flagship artist and bringing Tennessee Gothic into the world feels like the start of something real. This record is dark, lived in, and unmistakably theirs. We’re honored to be the home that helps them take it as far as it can go.”
