Circus Mind – Viking Princess

Circus Mind Returns with Blues-Soaked Psychedelic Single “Viking Princess” – Out Feb 18th

Circus Mind charges back into the spotlight with their latest single, “Viking Princess,” a bluesy, psychedelic romp that feels like Cab Calloway, Tom Waits, and Jim Morrison forming a snarling, groove-heavy rock band inside a midnight fever dream.

Gritty, theatrical, and wildly fun, the track delivers a humorous and all-too-relatable tale of the worst house guest imaginable. This is the kind of unforgettable character who barrels into your life, takes over the living room, and refuses to leave.

At its core, “Viking Princess” is a character study wrapped in infectious grooves and blues-drenched swagger. Songwriter, vocalist, and keyboardist Mark Rechler explains the inspiration simply:

Just imagine the worst, loudest, stinkiest house guest you ever had and multiply it by a factor of 10 and you have the Viking Princess. You may still love that person, but eventually you need them to leave to maintain your sanity.”

Musically, the track is quintessential Circus Mind. It blends swampy blues, psychedelic edge, and undeniable rhythmic drive. The chaos is elevated by special guest Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, LAMP), whose fiery guitar work adds muscle and menace to the track’s rolling groove. Noel Lustgarden’s soulful harmonica further anchors the song in its rowdy, barroom-blues roots.

Viking Princess” is loud, funny, and irresistibly fun. It is a battle cry for anyone who has ever loved someone deeply and still needed them to leave immediately. The single is available on February 18th across all streaming platforms.
