SUMMER U.S. TOUR CONTINUES MAY 31 THROUGH JUNE

Brooklyn-based independent alt-rocker Moon Walker recently shared his new album, WASTELAND COUNTRY and today is debuting its eponymous film. Starring Moon Walker and John Amedro as Mr. Jones, the “WASTELAND COUNTRY” film (dir. Madison McConnell) is out now, and the full record is available everywhere. The 44-minute feature brings many of the characters crafted in the album to life and welcomes viewers to WASTELAND COUNTRY, where every day starts with a happy face and a solid dose of propaganda.

On the film, Moon Walker says, “Making the movie really helped solidify the world of Wasteland Country at every step. We were making props and doing shoots throughout the process of writing the record, so it was constantly inspiring the music and fleshing out what I was writing in real time. The movie makes the whole concept feel fully realized in a way that just the music couldn’t on its own.”
The album, WASTELAND COUNTRY, sees Moon Walker continuing to viscerally reflect on the world around him with biting, guitar-driven anthems. After multiple sold out shows this past spring, the musician’s high-octane tour continues across the U.S. this summer for its final round. Taking a maximalist approach, Moon Walker’s Harry Springer liberally applies cinematic string sections, stacked harmonies, cathartic, wailing guitar solos and bombastic, dense arrangements across eleven piercing tracks. Gearing up to deliver his proudest work to date, Moon Walker shares, “This album is everything that I enjoy, everything I do, and everything I am, to the highest possible extent.
This is an album that I have been dreaming of making since I first discovered my favorite albums like ‘The Wall‘ and ‘The Black Parade.’ As a singer, guitar player, producer, songwriter and instrumentalist this is my best foot forward in every possible way.”
Moon Walker also recently shared exciting news: after independently releasing his five records; he is now officially signed to 10K/Atlantic Records. Consider this a new beginning to his ever-evolving career; he looks forward to this partnership.
Sharing five albums in five years, Moon Walker has consistently delivered biting social commentary with poignant lyricism through both thrashing garage rock and acoustic-driven tunes–all with a clear message and strong voice.
The often viral independent musician has built a fervent fanbase for saying the quiet part out loud–boasting 700K+ Spotify monthly listeners, 150M+ Spotify streams, 140K+ subscribers on YouTube, 150M+ views on YouTube, and 1M+ TikTok followers across accounts.
The artist has toured relentlessly over the last several years, including several sold out U.S. dates and shows supporting rock legends like Tool, Primus, Coheed and Cambria and more.
V Magazine praised his 2024 track, “The TV Made Me Do It,” writing, “The catchy indie-rock melody uses soulful bass lines and powerful lyrics to convey the dystopian intensity of the now-historical moment.”
On his 2022 record Attack of the Mirrors, New Noise Magazine added, “Moon Walker might just be the most important alternative rock band making music today.”
Moon Walker’s anti-fascist, uncompromising fifth record, WASTELAND COUNTRY, is out now and available here. Don’t miss the electric live show across the U.S. this summer with tickets available here. Connect with the musician via Instagram, YouTube and TikTok for more.
